About the project
“The Compromise” is a collection of 12 novels. Each one preceded by a newspaper preamble, which shows the result of the author's journalistic work in 1972-1975 in Tallinn (Estonia), and stories describe the process of work.
The main idea of the project was to display the image of 1970s and the novels of Sergei Dovlatov by combination of book and newspaper styles.
